...I have the XFMR alone model, not the nicely packed unit, but found (to my old ears) no noticable change in tone...although one would assume that the slight additional inductance in the output should enhance low-end response and possibly lessen highes.
...I cannot hear any change with EITHER speaker set that I use: (A) 2-ohm, 4 x JBL/D110F's versus (B) 8-ohm, 1 x JBL/D130F...although, I did measure a slight loss of power, about 1dB.
