I haven't seen all GA40's ever made, but the ones I've worked on all had the same one.

Of the ones I tested, the Z on each of them all measure within a few Z ohms of each other. They are all about the same physical size and look to use the same winding thickness.
The only GA40 OT that is slightly different is the one for the "54" Les Paul model (the one with the LP on the grill). This one has a slightly higher Z (~1K higher) and has tap connectors on the OT itself (non-enclosed case) to mount the feedback resistor onto.

But to answer your question, the mid 50s to early 60's era GA40's pretty much used the same OT....as far as I know and/or seen anyhow.
Knowing Gibson, they could have changed up here and there and used different ones on some models throughout those years.

I sent my '61 OT for cloning and it came back exact. Same mounting holes, case, laminate thickness, wire gage. The look just like the old ones except they're shiney and rust free!

The tone?....I have nitpicky ear for Gibson tone and these will knock your Aunt Ida's socks off with tone!
(They're a match for the old ones).
