Subject: heyboer OT question |

|
I've only built a couple amps. But i have tweaked them to a rediculous point having adjusted most every value in both and revamped the preamps and literally tried everything i could think of, read about, and from replies i've gotten. yet both amps tend to sound very bright with very boomy bass. They have different PT's, but the one common thing is they both have heyboer OT's and i even have a 3rd Heyboer OT i have tried.
My question is, has anyone notice that heyboer OT's have a super wide response that adds too much on either side of the frequency spectrum, IE: too much low bass and too much high end? I can't help but wonder if they are the reason because like i said i have tried everything imaginable.
