Howdy!

I've had a 1985/86 MIJ Paisley Tele for some years and it's a fine guitar. I recently acquired its cousin: a 1985/86 Blue Floral Tele. I can't believe how different the floral sounds: quieter and much thinner, more of a "spank" to the sound.

Weight of the two gats is about the same, and I would have thought the parts would be pretty much the same - serial numbers are only a couple of hundred apart. Do you think the difference in sound is down to the pickups? (BTW I also have a '54 Tele so I have something to compare sounds with!)
