I appreciate that you are bringing out a "steel" amp, but I wish it were configured like a BF/SF combo with the controls on the front. As a seated Steel player, it is hard enough to turn around and reach knobs on an amp behind oneself when controls are on the front. Having the controls on the top rear makes it much more difficult.
The inconvenience of the controls on the top rear is compounded when one tilts the amp back for better monitoring, as I am fond of doing.
I know the 50s config is all "vintage cool" and everything, but very few people acknowledge that those designs were created in the early days of amplification. At that time a many players set their amps on the floor in front of them big band style, and controls on the back made sense. Practically speaking, I think it's time we moved on from that.
