I had a mid '70's Dobro for a long time. It was a good guitar. I took a lesson with Sally Van Meter one time and she suggested I get a Quarterman cone for it which I never did. Right before I sold it, I put some Elixer Dobro strings on it and I couldn't believe how good it sounded. I was amazed. I was sad to see it go, but the Historic Les Paul I bought with the proceeds is one of my dream guitars.
