Ok but is this when you post or just when you are looking at something someone else posted ?
I remember that someone who posted pics on photobucket a while back had really small images that if they were linked to this board you would find very small images in the upper right corner of the page here. They were most likely smaller JPEGs that were put up which would have shown up ok in an e-mail but came through too little on a page by themselves. I believe that the poster redid some of them by using the option in a photo program to make the image larger then save it and repost on the bucket.
I have also noticed that some peoples linked pics show up too large for the screen and need to be viewed by using the bars provided for moving the page image. these are usually saved as Bitmap images which come up very large and have excellent detail but wonlt show as sized to the screen in most applications.
However with some browsers you can reduce or increase magnification to get a full screen iimage at the cost of detail. Making a bitmap smaller for view doesn't hurt but making a Jpeg larger causes them to get very grainy so most people don't try to enlarge them and doing it on the screen looses a lot of detail most of the time.
Still don't know what your problem is though.
I did on occasion save an image from a photobucket then view it in a photo program where it can be manipulated in many ways. if they are bitmaps that are posted in a small format they can sometimes be enlarged but if they are posted as less detailed files they usually loose detail and cannot be manipulated with much success.
In some instances where someone posted an image that had poor color or was too dark a photoprogram can adjust the values enough to see them the way they should have been posted.
Of course a lot depends on the original camera and how good the file that was created. In many ways it has a lot in common with real photography where making enlargements can increase the grain of the image to the point it becomes somewhat surrealistic.
Just conversation of course still don't know exactly what your problem is.
