don't know if this helps at all but there are at least wo links in this search for the Mike DR. and another who specialise in Shure 55 s . also there is a note about the wiring in one link.

Might be possible to ask either the Dr, or the other guy for advice on getting parts though Shure seems no longer to make parts for the older 55 s.
