Markets are in freefall after a second economic bubble bursts stateside

My small invested retirement fortune shrinks some thousands before my eyes, as do those with real estate holdings and more risky investments, no doubt

I consider hiring a stock broker to leverage my fortune back to some sort of growth after a few years of balanced portfolio in various mutual funds has not been actively growing but rather following th ups and downs of these same markets

At least my job appears steady and is going my way after a year and a half of learning the ins and outs of the company

Costs are going up every time i go shopping, milk went up 10% since i last bought a week ago.

i sell some gear to prepare to add to rrsps before tax time

is there a better way?
