For many years I have played guitar and piano. I am not very accomplished on either one but can get around. I would consider the guitar as my instrument while my work on the piano is mainly for working out compositional issues or resolving harmony choices. Often I am reminded of the differences of these two wonderful instruments, and this usually leads to some useful insight.
Lately I have been wondering how many standard unisons are on the guitar. I'm defining a standard unison, as non-bend unison. In short I found there are a ton, in many cases you can play the same note in 5 different positions: on the standard 22 fret electric guitar there are 47 notes over 138 positions. The attached web link shows this.
Any suggestions on making this more readable or useful?
-Phil
