You forgot the part about it being a weekly or is it monthly test.
Of course since they often do it three or four times on the same day I suppose they forgot also.
Seems that the test is usually scheduled to cause the most interference with whatever you are trying to view and or listen to at the time.
They used to do these in the small hours of the morning when they would bother the least number of people but I believe that the feds decided they needed to do them in the part of the day when the most viewers are watching to make everyone familliar with the system so they would know what the damn noise was when it was really needed.
Any how they did find one of the most annoying noises possible to make sure they get everyones attention.
I wonder how many peoiple try to get rid of it by changing channels before they get into the spoken part ?
