there is a richness to a deeper cab. Like I said "hifi". If you are into jazz that is on the quieter side (Wes Montgomery etc) a deep cab might be cool. The other interesting thing I discovered in a restoration of a Blonde Tremolux is that the unported , closed back cab with 2 x 10's is superb sounding at low volumes, but boomy at higher volumes. At low volumes its almost sounds like a compressor is on a tiny bit. "natural compression" Very rich and nice in the music room.
