My ears have come up with the following if you want a fender type sound:
9.5 to 10.5 depth at bottom. much deeper and it gets hi-fi-ish. If not a slanted cab, probably want about 9.5-10. I prefer about 10.5 for a slant.
18-22 wide X 15-17 high is nice. The smaller cab will choke the sound a little but that can be a good thing depending on what you want.
I prefer MDPB for the baffle. (as did Leo Fender for the BF amps)
There are a lot of variable though. One of the best sounding cabs I have is an old Fender all particle board cab from a SS amp. Maybe it's the weight....
