This gets me thinking... I have a sheet of 3/16" or so aluminum in my basement that would be big enough for a 12" speaker, maybe even 2x10". But how would it sound, anyone tried? I'd hate to cut holes in it just to find out -- especially if isn't going to sound any good.
This thread makes me want to build a cabinet with a removable baffle so I can try out different options and find out what I like best.
