Nobody's answering Steve but of course it sounds like either a failed component or an open in the Clean circuit.
You say you were adjusting when it went out. If you were getting a signal through and it ceased while turning a pot that might be the first place to look for an open in the circuit. If that's not where your problem lies it could be anywhere and you would have to trace from the clean input til you find where the signal stops.
Since it is going through the echo that part is OK and that means tracing from the output to the clean channel and pretty much rules out the point of entry itsef.
Have you opened it up at all ? looked for a bad wire or a bad solder connection ?
Simple things first then you need more input than what I can offer since I don't know TTEs.
I remember reading about a similar problem with a different echo uit while searching for someone elses question and that one I think was a failed component problem that was fairly common.
Hope Mike gives you the answer.
Good luck and maybe someone who has experienced this or something similar will respond.
