I got one of the cheap Ibanez Soundtank Phasers recently , it's not as good as the vintage script logo Phase 90 that I sold last year for $325, but it does sound good, clean and when used with a distortion pedal, I was surprised at how good it sounds.
You can probably find a soundtank phaser for around $25, if you're not sure about phase it's a good way to start.
Eventually I may get a better Phase 90 type, but for now this one is working fine.
