I thought it was great at first, then it got dark and muddy as I turned the gain down. I fiddled with the treble knob inside and now it works great.
I've been through a TON of drive pedals and always kept my 1999 fulldrive. But the fulldrive was never right for me either. But the Blackstone is a bit better. Maybe its a bit tighter and not as icepicky in the highs. The fulldrive isnt icepick till you run it at full treble, but thats about where it sounds right sometimes.
The Blackstone just works nicely for me...plus i can boost the red channel. Something the Fulldrive cant do.
So its basically a set it and forget it thang.
