make is two-fold. first, just having a box with no tubes/power, etc. and
smaller footprint is a big plus. and, second, even tho the tube unit will
sound better while you are playing it in your living room (or recording a
solo studio part like 'Wicked Games' etc.) in a live band setting you wont
hear a difference. given i was playing live music and space was at a
premium, i was more than willing to part w/ my unreal tube unit for twice
what the used 'pedal' cost me. and the VanAmps unit is quite good.
