The 5F6A is a wonderful Guitar amp, for bass, you'd be better off with something Dual Showman-like. Like a Twin in a head cabinet. The only "Vintage" bass amp that comes to mind would be an Ampeg B-15, which sound wonderful but are woefully underpowered for contemporary applications. plus no one that I know of make a kit for one. mp
